Woodnotes had a more extensive presentation than ever before in Milan 2008. The exhibition  ”Woven Light – industrial designs, studio and unique works from Woodnotes Collection” presented Woodnotes as a total concept of interior design. Besides functional textiles, such as carpets, blinds, partitions, fabrics and accessories, the exhibition features beautiful hand-knitted studio articles and unique works by Ritva Puotila. Hand-tufted wool linen pile carpets Sammal and Aapa had their world’s premiere in Milan. By using contrasting colours, exhibition designer Ulla Koskinen created different atmospheres. The warm minimalism of Woodnotes comes from the harmonious combinations of natural materials – paper, cotton, wool and linen – and from the pure lines and forms. The display and interaction between products and space demonstrated how Woodnotes products are easily adaptable to different functions both in the home and in public areas.
